By creating an account or using Signal Studio, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

Service Description

Signal Studio provides AI-powered banner generation services. You submit brand assets and campaign details; we deliver production-ready banners.

Payment Processor (Merchant of Record)

All payments are handled by Armitage Labs OÜ, trading as Creem ("Creem"), which acts as the Merchant of Record for every purchase. Creem collects and stores your payment details, charges your card, issues invoices and receipts, and calculates and remits any applicable sales tax or VAT. Your purchase is also subject to Creem's Terms of Service. We never see or store full card numbers.

Eligibility & One Trial Per Customer

You must have the legal capacity to enter a binding contract under UAE law (generally 18 years or older). The free trial is limited to one per customer. Creating multiple accounts, or using different emails or payment cards, to obtain additional free trials is not permitted. We may detect and block repeat trials (including via the payment method on file with Creem) and may suspend or remove accounts, and refuse service, where we reasonably suspect abuse.

Free Allowance (5 generations)

Every new account starts with a free allowance of 5 generations (10 banners), rendered at 1K resolution. The free allowance includes one edit, one translation (one language) and one resize in total, across all banners; further changes need a paid plan. It ends as soon as either limit is reached: 7 calendar days from sign-up, or 10 generated banners — whichever comes first (a translation counts as a banner; an edit to an existing banner does not). The allowance is counted when banners are generated, not when they are downloaded; downloads are unlimited. No payment card is needed to start. When the free allowance is used up, you choose a plan and add a card to continue. One free allowance per person: accounts created to obtain additional free generations may be suspended. Higher resolutions (2K, 4K), unlimited changes and the plan's full monthly allowance begin once the first payment is taken.

Subscriptions, Billing & Auto-Renewal

When you subscribe, the plan you select begins and your card is charged for the first month. Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically each month until cancelled. By subscribing you authorise Creem to charge your payment method the recurring plan price (Starter $49/mo, Pro $79/mo, Unlimited $149/mo) plus any applicable taxes, on each renewal date.

Plan Changes

You may upgrade at any time — the change applies immediately and you are charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current period. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period, so you keep the features you already paid for until then.

Fair Usage Policy (Unlimited plan)

The Unlimited plan is intended for a single company generating creatives for its own brands — one account equals one company. “Unlimited” means there is no fixed monthly cap for normal use; sustained usage above 300 delivered banners per month falls outside typical use, and we may contact you to discuss your needs and temporarily reduce generation priority while we do. Reselling or sub-licensing access, sharing login credentials with other companies, generating creatives as a service for third parties, and automated or scripted bulk generation are not permitted. Where these limits are exceeded we will always notify you first; we may reduce generation speed, propose a custom plan, or — in cases of clear abuse — suspend the account. Accepting this policy is required to activate the Unlimited plan.

Cancellation

You can cancel at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation stops future renewals; your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, after which the account becomes read-only (you can still download banners already delivered). Cancelling during the free trial ends the trial and prevents any charge.

Refunds & Service Guarantee

Because plans are billed monthly and can be cancelled anytime, we do not, as a general policy, refund partial or unused periods. However, in line with the UAE Consumer Protection Law (Federal Law No. 15 of 2020), if the service is defective or does not conform to what was agreed, you are entitled to have the service re-performed correctly or to receive a refund of the amount paid (or part of it) as appropriate. Banners are digital content delivered electronically and consumed on delivery, so a general "change of mind" cooling-off period does not apply once banners have been generated — but this does not affect your statutory rights in respect of defective or non-conforming service. Refund requests are processed by Creem under their Buyer Terms; contact hello@signal-studio.app and we will assist.

Acceptable Use Policy — Prohibited Content

Signal Studio generates advertising creatives for legitimate businesses. You may not use the service to create, request, upload or attempt to generate any of the following, and we may suspend or terminate an account that does so without refund:

Adult and sexual content. NSFW material of any kind, including pornographic, adult, nude, partially nude, sexually explicit or sexually suggestive imagery; fetish or erotic content; sexualised depictions of any person; and prompts intended to produce any of the above. This prohibition applies regardless of whether the depicted people are real or AI-generated.

Content involving minors. Any depiction of a minor in a sexual, suggestive or exploitative context is absolutely forbidden and will be reported to the relevant authorities.

Real people without consent. Images of identifiable individuals, public figures or celebrities used without their permission, deepfakes, impersonation, and content that misrepresents a real person's words or actions.

Violence, hate and harassment. Graphic violence, gore, self-harm, content promoting terrorism or violent extremism, and material that harasses, threatens or degrades any person or group on the basis of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or any other protected characteristic.

Illegal goods and deception. Advertising for illegal drugs, weapons, counterfeit goods, stolen data, malware, fraudulent schemes, or any product or claim that is unlawful in the customer's market; and any content designed to deceive, defraud or mislead consumers.

Infringement. Third-party trademarks, logos, characters or copyrighted work you do not have the right to use.

All prompts submitted to Signal Studio are screened by automated content-moderation systems before generation, and requests that breach this policy are refused. We also review reported output. Repeated or deliberate attempts to bypass these controls result in immediate termination without refund, and unlawful content is reported to the appropriate authorities.

Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of your brand assets and the banners we generate for you. You grant us a limited license to process your assets solely to provide the service.

Acceptable Use

You may not use Signal Studio to generate content that is illegal, misleading, or violates third-party rights. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate this policy.

Taxes (VAT)

Prices shown are exclusive of tax unless stated otherwise. As Merchant of Record, Creem determines, collects and remits any applicable tax based on your billing location — this includes UAE Value Added Tax (VAT) at the standard rate of 5% under Federal Decree-Law No. 8 of 2017 for customers in the UAE, and VAT/GST/sales tax for customers elsewhere. The exact tax amount is shown on the Creem checkout and on your invoice.

Price Changes

We may change plan prices or features. Any change to the recurring price of your plan will be communicated by email in advance and will take effect on your next renewal after the notice period. Continuing your subscription after the change takes effect constitutes acceptance; if you do not agree, you may cancel before the renewal date.

Failed Payments

If a renewal payment fails, Creem may retry the charge. If payment cannot be collected, your subscription may be paused or cancelled and your account switched to read-only until payment succeeds.

Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, abuse the free trial, fail to pay, or use the service unlawfully. You may stop using the service and cancel at any time. On termination, the license granted to you ends, though you may download banners already delivered where the account is read-only rather than deleted.

AI-Generated Output

Banners are produced by AI and may contain errors or unintended similarities to existing works. You are responsible for reviewing every banner before publishing or advertising it, and for ensuring it complies with applicable advertising, trademark and consumer-protection laws. We do not guarantee that output is unique, accurate, or fit for a particular purpose.

Data & Privacy

We process your personal data in accordance with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) and our Privacy Policy. Payment data is handled by Creem and account data is stored on Supabase (EU region), which involves a cross-border transfer with appropriate safeguards. You may exercise your rights of access, correction, deletion and objection, and request deletion of your account and data at any time, at hello@signal-studio.app.

Third-Party Services

We rely on third parties to operate the service, including Creem (payments), Supabase (data storage) and AI model providers. Your use of the service is also subject to those providers' terms where applicable.

Limitation of Liability

Signal Studio is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app. The "Effective date" above reflects the latest version. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates, including Federal Law No. 15 of 2020 on Consumer Protection and its Executive Regulations (Cabinet Decision No. 66 of 2023), and Federal Decree-Law No. 14 of 2023 on Trading through Modern Technology (E-Commerce). Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Emirate of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory statutory consumer rights you have under UAE law that cannot be waived by agreement.
